OBJECTIVES:

• Assess and mitigate the environmental impact of past, present and future mining operations

• Identify and develop appropriate policy, regulatory and institutional mechanisms and capacities to ensure sound and sustainable environmental management practices in mining in Ghana.

• Make recommendations for future operations leading to a National Environmental and Social Management and Action Plan.
